Bowe vs. Odom is supposed to happen in Miami on October 2.

Former world undisputed heavyweight champion Riddick Bowe seemingly hung up his gloves in 2008, ending a pro career with a record 43-1 (1 NC), with that sole loss coming to fellow heavyweight great Evander Holyfield.

At 54-years of age Bowe is scheduled to get back into the ring and face former NBA player Lamar Odom in one of the many circus fights that are being booked during this current era of celebrity/legend fights.

Recently footage of Bowe training hit the internet. And it didn’t look good. You can see that below:

The video of Bowe was met with a chorus of social media users expressing concerns and even disgust that Bowe would be licensed to fight a much younger man (Odom is 41).

Bowe vs. Odom is being promoted by an outfit named Official Celebrity Boxing. The event is scheduled for October 2 in Miami, FL. The co-main event sees Paulie Malignaggi fight someone called Corey B of Tik Tok fame.

This, if it happens, will be Odom’s second fight. Earlier this year he brutalized former pop singer Aaron Carter.

The commission overseeing this potential fight is the same that was in charge of Triller’s latest offering, which saw 58-year-old Evander Holyfield take a quick standing TKO loss to former UFC champion Vitor Belfort.

Prior to Holyfield vs. Belfort, footage of Holyfield training caused similar concerns to both fans and media members.
