Let’s hope Ann Perez de Tejada gets better with age.

Despite a technical knockout loss to Laura Dettman during the Sparta Combat League event back in February (watch the video here), the 68-year-old grandmother vows to continue her budding mixed martial arts (MMA) career.

“I had one cut about an inch long,” Perez told FOX News Latino. “I didn’t get rocked or nothing. I had a couple of bruises and a cut. I get more than that in practice. I train hard, I don’t just wander out to the cage. I do it because I love it, I can’t stay away. I’ll do it again.”

My goal for 68 is to remember how to operate the remote control for my TV.

I’m sure matchmakers will be able to scare up a new opponent later this year. I just have a hard time imagining any fighter wanting to be in a position where something could happen, then have it come back to haunt them later on. I dunno, maybe I’m just young-fashioned.

Anyone disagree?
