Brendan Loughnane has found a new home.

The British featherweight has signed an exclusive deal with PFL, ESPN reported Tuesday.

Loughnane made headlines last month after being passed up for a UFC contract following a win on Dana White’s Contender Series. His three-round affair was one of the more impressive performances of the night, but White said Loughnane wasn’t signed because he went for a takedown with less than 10 seconds left in the fight. White said multiple times he looks for “killers” on the UFC’s feeder show.

Loughnane said to Bloody Elbow after the fight that he thought there was more to White’s decision not to sign him than just his late takedown.

But Loughnane has moved on, it appears, as he has signed with PFL. According to the ESPN report, the 29-year-old will compete in the season 3 featherweight tournament, but is expected to debut in a non-tournament bout in October. PFL’s second season kicked off in May.

Loughnane is on a three-fight winning streak and is 7-1 dating back to 2016. Loughnane, who fought once in the UFC in 2012, has only lost to UFC veterans Pat Healy, Tom Duquesnoy, and Mike Wilkinson. Loughnane has never been finished.

Loughnane joins a roster of PFL featherweights that includes 2018 champion Lance Palmer, former WSOF champ Andre Harrison, and former UFC fighters Jeremy Kennedy and Steven Siler, among others.
