Al Iaquinta erupts (again), slams Reebok’s deal with Sage ‘little bitch’ Northcutt
In case you were wondering, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight slugger Al Iaquinta is still mad.
But his scorched earth mentality has gone so far overboard I can’t even remember what upset him in the first place. I know he was “Raging” about his UFC contract awhile back, but then he returned at UFC Fight Night 108 and knocked out Diego Sanchez.
Not surprisingly, the UFC brass did not reward him with a performance bonus, probably because he spent the better part of 2016 telling everyone how awful it was to work for UFC. Who’s right and who’s wrong is irrelevant in these matters … this is business.
And Iaquinta just went into business for himself.
“Just got off the phone with Reebok trying to act cool with me, ether you’re with me or against me,” Iaquinta wrote in a tweet that has since been deleted. “You choose little bitch Sage Northcutt over me, I’m the fucking man. I’ll take your guy out, take away my sponsor money. Reebok has some nice gear though, I’ll give it to them.”
No telling yet if Iaquinta will return for another fight, or if that’s even an option, but it will be fun to follow his social media accounts while this situation unfolds. But a word to the wise, if you check into the same hotel as him, go ahead and check out.
