Irene Aldana suffered one of the gnarliest facial wounds in the history of combat sports in her UFC 306 decision loss to Norma Dumont inside the Las Vegas “Sphere” roughly three months back, but you wouldn’t know it by looking at some of her “after” pics.
Here’s another look at her progress:
Aldana has additional pics (and video) in her Instagram stories.
The 36 year-old Aldana dropped to 15-8 with her loss to Dumont, leaving her with a 3-3 record across her last six. No word yet on when the hard-hitting bantamweight plans to make her Octagon return, but second half of 2025 seems like a realistic timeline.
Just don’t ask her to call it quits.
“I’d rather go blind,” Aldana wrote on social media.
The latest UFC rankings update (see it here) has Aldana seated at No. 6, tied with fellow 135-pound contender Mayra Bueno Silva.
