MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz seems to like being in the spotlight just as much as — if not more — than his own stable of fighters.

In a recent interview with MMA Junkie’s Dave Doyle, Abdelaziz went into graphic detail about all the ways in which newly-crowned welterweight champ Kamaru Usman will make Colby Covington ‘suffer’ in their proposed welterweight title bout.

“Wait ’til you see what he’s going to do to Colby,” Abdelaziz said. “You think (the win over Woodley was) impressive? I think it’s going to be so much more impressive when he’s going to beat Colby. It’s going to be so much worse for Colby because stylistically, he’s the worst matchup for Colby. And he’s smart to avoid him for a long time. You think he knows what Usman is going to do to him? I can’t wait, but it’s all good.”

Abdelaziz believes ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ will make ‘Chaos’ drink his own blood and ‘swallow his own’ tongue in the Octagon.

“Suffer,” Abdelaziz said. “Drink his own blood, swallow his own tongue, dig his own grave. That’s what’s going to happen.”

As for when the fight is expected to take place, Abdelaziz gave no hint of a date and told Covington to ‘relax’ and be patient.

“It’s going to happen when Usman is ready to make it happen. Colby wants it, no problem,” he said. “He’s got to sit and relax.”
