Bantamweight prospect Thomas Almeida talked about the dangers of facing Cody Garbrandt at UFC Fight Night 88 in Las Vegas, on May 29.

Thomas Almeida is excited to fight in a main event for the first time in his UFC career when he meets fellow undefeated bantamweight prospect, Cody Garbrandt. As Almeida told Combate, he is aware of Gabrandt’s dangerous hands, but he believes he will still manage to obtain yet another KO victory.

“Garbrandt has really good boxing, he’s very aggressive, like myself. So I believe it will be the fight of the night. We will trade shots all night. I have to be prepared in case we go for five rounds, but I believe the fight will end sooner than that, since we are both so aggressive.

“I believe I will knock him out in the second round.”

Thomas Almeida (21-0) currently rides a four-fight winning streak in the UFC and will look to make it five in a row when he meets Cody Garbrandt (8-0) who has three straight UFC wins himself. The pair will meet at UFC Fight Night 88, in Las Vegas, on May 29.

Other bouts announced for the card are Renan Barao vs. Jeremy Stephens at featherweight, and Tarec Saffiedine vs. Rick Story at welterweight.
