ROSEMEAD, Calif. – After months of buildup, during a pre-event press
conference promoting UFC 121, it finally hit Jake Shields that he’s
actually in the UFC.
Sandwiched between Tito Ortiz and Brock Lesnar in the lobby of the Walt
Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, he realized he’d reached a milestone
after 11 years in professional fighting.
“It feels great to finally be here,” he said.
