Valentina Shevchenko and Liz Carmouche faced each other in a women’s Flyweight clash tonight (Sat., Aug. 10, 2019) at UFC Fight Night 156 inside Antel Arena in Montevideo, Uruguay, only on ESPN+. It was not fun, but Shevchenko won easily.

Afterward, the two clinched up for the first time, resulting in a big toss to the mat from Shevchenko. Very little happened from within the full guard before the end of the round.

Carmouche continued her kick-focused “strategy” into the fifth and final round. Shevchenko dug a low kick counter. Superman punch and jab connected for Shevchenko.
