Anderson Silva wants to make one last run at UFC gold in his forties as wishes to have three more fights this year after dealing with Michael Bisping at the end of the month.
Less than one month away from his long awaited return against Michael Bisping in London, former UFC middleweight champion revealed to Combate he is as eager to fight as ever. So much that he wishes to fight three more times this year after dealing with “The Count”.
“Besides Bisping, I want to have three more fights this year and if I win them all, I want a new title shot. I hope that God blesses me and nothing else can stop me.”
The last time Anderson Silva fought four times in one year was in 2006, when he faced Yushin Okami, Tony Fryklund, Chris Leben and Rich Franklin, that last one being for the UFC middleweight championship, which the now 40-year old won by TKO.
Anderson Silva is scheduled to take on Michael Bisping on February 27, in London, in the main event of UFC Fight Night 84. Another clash of middleweight contenders will pose as the co-main event with Gegard Mousasi taking on Thales Leites.
