Andrade will move up to flyweight for this one.

Former UFC strawweight champion Jessica Andrade is on her way up to flyweight.

ESPN’s Brett Okamoto reported on Thursday that Andrade is lined up for a fight with former flyweight title challenger Jessica Eye, with October 17th as the target date.

Andrade (20-8) is on a two-fight losing streak, having immediately lost her strawweight belt to Zhang Weili in just 42 seconds, followed by a split decision defeat to Rose Namajunas, the woman she defeated to capture UFC gold. The Brazilian dropped to strawweight in 2016 after competing as a bantamweight, and it took her little time to become a contender and eventually a champion.

Eye (15-8, 1 NC) turned in a fairly lackluster showing in her main event decision loss to Cynthia Calvillo last month. The Ohioan rattled off three straight wins at flyweight after dropping down from bantamweight, earning her a title shot and subsequent scary KO loss to champion Valentina Shevchenko. She returned to the win column by besting Viviane Araujo, but much like in the Calvillo bout, Eye failed to make weight.

No other fights have been linked to this October 17th show, which will be a Fight Night occurring one week before the highly anticipated lightweight title bout between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje.
