Strawweight veteran Angela Hill will face Maryna Moroz at UFC on FOX 28 in Orlando, Florida.
A week after having her original fight cancelled, strawweight Maryna Moroz has been rebooked against a different opponent. On Monday, the UFC confirmed to the Orlando Sentinel that Moroz will now take on Angela Hill at UFC on FOX 28 on February 24th.
Moroz (8-2) is coming off a unanimous decision defeat to Carla Esparza at UFC Fight Night: Chiesa vs. Lee in June. The Ukrainian was scheduled to return to the Octagon at last week’s UFC 220 in Boston, but Jamie Moyle withdrew due to injury, and the #14-ranked Moroz was removed from the event. Moroz hasn’t won since a split decision over Danielle Taylor in August 2016.
Hill (7-4) was a part of The Ultimate Fighter season 20, but was released from the UFC after going 1-2 in the promotion. “Overkill” turned things around in Invicta FC, ultimately capturing the promotion’s strawweight title, then successfully defending it once before returning to the UFC in February 2017. Hill lost a thriller to Jessica Andrade by decision, then besting Ashley Yoder on the scorecards, and most recently dropping a decision to Nina Ansaroff.
UFC on FOX 28 is headlined by a featherweight bout between Josh Emmett and Jeremy Stephens.
