An intriguing Light Heavyweight matchup has been added to a planned Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Fight Night event on Feb. 27, 2021, as Magomed Ankalaev has been booked to face Nikita Krylov.
That’s according to ESPN’s Brett Okamato, though no official location has been determined at the moment. That saif, UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada could be a likely destination.
Ankalaev (No. 11) is currently riding a five-fight win streak and is coming off a first round knockout win over Ion Cutelaba at UFC 254 last October, finally putting to bed his longstanding beef with “The Hulk” after two straight wins against him.
Krylov, meanwhile, is coming off a huge win over Johnny Walker, though that bout took place nine months ago, bringing his record to an even 2-2 in his latest UFC run. His other win came against Ovince Saint Preux with his two defeats coming at the hands of Glover Teixeira and current division champion, Jan Blachowicz.
The ESPN+-streamed event will feature a 205-pound tilt between former RIZIN champion Jiri Prochazka taking on Dominick Reyes, while Alex Caceres takes on Kevin Croom. In further action, Raphael Assuncao will face Raoni Barcelos at Bantamweight.
