Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury are special playable characters in the upcoming UFC 4 game on EA Sports.
Heavyweight boxing champions Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua both brought up the idea of crossing over to mixed martial arts. While that may seem like a distant possibility in real life, EA Sports somehow turned that into a reality through the new UFC 4 game.
Both fighters are special playable characters for the game, which is set for release on August 11th for both the PlayStation and Xbox platforms.
UFC president Dana White talked about it briefly during the UFC 251 post-fight presser.
“We wanted them. We thought they’d be fun to have in the game as extra characters,” he told reporters. “Every year, we’ve done different things, from Bruce Lee to now these guys.
“It’s awesome. I’m glad they agreed and wanted to be a part of it and it’s gonna be a fun game.”
Other additions to the game are new fight venues, one of them being a backyard reminiscent to Jorge Masvidal’s early days as a brawler.
Here is the game’s official trailer.
