Charges in the widely-publicized domestic violence case of UFC Octagon girl Arianny Celeste have been dropped by the Las Vegas District Attorney’s office due to “insufficient evidence,” a representative of the DA confirmed Monday afternoon to MMAFighting.com.

Celeste made headlines in late May when she and her reported boyfriend, Praveen Chandra, were arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center the morning of UFC 146 after an argument over text messages at the Wynn Las Vegas. Arrest reports indicated Chandra accused Celeste of kicking him in the nose and throwing two vases at him, while Celeste alleges Chandra to have choked her multiple times throughout the night.
Celeste was released on bail later in the day, and eventually joined fellow Octagon girl Brittany Palmer cageside at UFC 146.
UFC President Dana White released a statement publicly supporting Celeste, who after more than five years of employment, is by far the longest tenured Octagon girl.
“Arianny is our baby,” White said. “She has been with us for over 5 years. She’s a good girl and an amazing ambassador for the UFC. I don’t know all the details of what happened but we have her back and support her 100-percent.”
Chandra’s charges were also dropped due to “insufficient evidence.” Celeste has resumed her normal Octagon girl duties since the incident.
