Andrei Arlovski is wondering why Dana White sent him packing after UFC 303.
I’m sure it has something to do with the fact “The Pitbull” is 45 years old, coming off four straight losses, and getting paid more than $300,000 per fight. It’s also worth mentioning the former heavyweight champion remains unranked in the 265-pound weight class.
“So Saturday night, that night at UFC 303 wasn’t my night,” Arlovski wrote on Instagram. “I didn’t want to finish my journey in the UFC like that, but it is what it is. And yes, I’m not b*tching, just wondering how come? Soooo, my chapter in the UFC is closed, but my book is not finished yet. Will see what’s around the corner, it’s more stories to tell. I’m going on vacation for a bit right now with my beautiful family. So, I wanna say to you, my fellow Americans in advance, Happy Independence Day.”
Arlovski (34-24, 2 NC) has not finished a fight in over nine years, going to the judges’ scorecards in his last 10 wins. In addition, “The Pitbull” has been knocked out 12 times in 24 losses, which includes his second-round defeat to Don’Tale Mayes at UFC Vegas 74.
“Hell of a run man,” longtime rival, Tim Sylvia, wrote in the comment section. “Congrats, it was a honor to share the cage with you four times. We always put on a show and brought the best out in one another. Congrats on retirement.”
Goodbye UFC … hello PFL?
