According to a recent report from Globo, a Heavyweight showdown between Andrei Arlovski and Philipe Lins has been re-booked to go down at an upcoming Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event on May 13, 2020 inside VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.
The bout was originally scheduled to take place on Sat., May 2, 2020 inside Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, but after COVID-19 restrictions forced the postponement of the bout, UFC is now looking to add it to its upcoming slate of fights after announcing its long-awaited return to action.
Arlovski is looking to turn things around after a rough stretch that has seen him lose four of his last six. In his previous outing, “The Pitbull” was knocked out by Jairzinho Rozenstruick in just 29 seconds of the first round. Lins, meanwhile, will be making his official UFC debut after going undefeated (4-0) under the Professional Fighters League (PFL), including capturing the Heavyweight title in late 2018.
The still-unnamed event will also see Ovince Saint Preux make his Heavyweight debut when he takes on Ben Rothwell. No other bouts have been confirmed at this time, but keep it locked in to MMAmania.com as more fights are announced.
