When all the fighters are shacked up at the same hotel, it’s only a matter off time before two opponents slated to face off against one another, like welterweight rivals Ben Askren and Jorge Masvidal, cross paths at some point before their actual fight.
In this day and age, there’s usually a camera nearby, and it seems like Masvidal has been getting a lot of airtime in recent years. First it was Michael Bisping, then Leon Edwards, and now the “Funky” wrestler who drew “Gamebred’s” ire.
The above clip is fairly tame compared to some of the other backstage confrontations we’ve seen (like this one) and I doubt it will lead to any broken busses, but at least we know why Masvidal was so irked at the media day staredowns.
Masvidal will get a chance to silence his foe at the UFC 239 pay-per-view (PPV) event this Sat. night (July 6, 2019) inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. To see that complete fight card and line up click here.
