Jake Paul’s efforts to land a boxing match against Conor McGregor have to yield the YouTube star any results, not even a nibble. Indeed, “Notorious” — and rightfully so — hasn’t even taken the time to respond to Paul’s callout and insults.
Though the same can’t be said for Nate Diaz.
As a result, Paul is shifting his attention elsewhere, as Chael Sonnen reveals that Jake and Ben Askren are set to take part in a boxing match on March 28, 2021. Once that’s out of the way, Paul will then duke it out against jiu-jitsu ace, Dillon Danis.

“Funky” further confirmed the news to BJPenn.com. “I think so. He needs to get beat up,” Askren said.
Askren retired from mixed martial arts (MMA) in November of 2019 following a loss to Demian Maia, his second straight defeat after starting his combat career at 19-0-1. And while Askren wasn’t exactly known for his boxing or knockout power, it’s still an interesting matchup should it come to fruition.
As far as Danis is concerned, he and Paul recently had a run-in involving water balloons after Jake ambushed the Bellator MMA start while he was conducting an interview on Brendan Schaub’s “Food Truck Diaries,” which may or may not have been staged.
