Press Release (October 12th.12) BAMMA is proud to announce Tom Breese vs. Warren Kee to the BAMMA 11 card at Birmingham’s NIA on 1st December, for the very first BAMMA Lonsdale British Welterweight title showdown. The Mixed Martial Arts match was previously scheduled for BAMMA 10 but Kee was forced to withdraw due to injury and was replaced by Jack Magee.

Birmingham homeboy, Tom Breese, is one of the UK’s most exciting Welterweight prospects. The 20 year old BAMMA fighter stands undefeated with a Pro record of 5-0-0, in which he has stopped all his opponents within two rounds; and has previous Amateur stats of 8-0-0. A nightmare for any opponent on the ground, Breese finished all his fights by Submission until he took Mark Tucker down with knees at BAMMA 9. Breese’s BAMMA 10 bout with replacement Jack Magee saw him execute a ruinous triangle win in the first round.

Tom Breese said:

“I’ve never taken a backward step in my whole professional career and with Kee I’m fighting a guy I was previously matched against. The thing is, I feel like I am evolving on a daily basis in all areas. MMA is my life, not a hobby or just something to do or say I’ve done. I’m on this thing, to go all the way. Collecting the BAMMA title by going through whoever stands before me is just another move I’ve got to make.”

Team Tsunami’s Warren ‘Relentless’ Kee comes with a record of 7-1-1 and the majority of his wins via 1st or 2nd round TKO. Kee is known for a devastating style in which he likes to grind his opponents down with “elbows, foot stomps and relentless pressure”.

Warren Kee said:

“I’m so looking forward to BAMMA 11, especially after injury forced me out of BAMMA 10. Tom Breese is undefeated so it will be a tough test. I’ve had 12 months of setbacks, but I’m healed now and have all that energy to burn in the cage come December 1st.

I feel I have never performed to anywhere near my ability in any of my past fights, so I will be looking to change that on fight night. This will bring me the win for sure.”

BAMMA’s Head of Talent Relations, Jude Samuel, said:

“The fight that should have been part of BAMMA 10 now has a home on BAMMA 11 as a Lonsdale British Welterweight Title Fight. Tom’s last opponent, replacement Jack Magee pushed him beyond what he had experienced before on BAMMA and brought out the best in him. Kee on the other hand is a totally different kind of fighter and now has the added motivation in fighting for a title. This clash between two exciting prospects will be electric.”

(October 12th.12) BAMMA is proud to announce two further Mixed Martial Arts fights to the BAMMA 11 card at Birmingham’s National Indoor Arena on 1st December:

A Lightweight match sees Richie Downes square off against Jeremy Petley, while Jonny Bilton faces Leon Edwards at Welterweight.

Lightweight Fight: Downes vs. Petley

London Fight Factory’s Jeremy Petley returns to the BAMMA cage on the back of a three fight winning streak and a record of 8-4-0. Formidable wherever the fight goes, BAMMA 10 saw Petley score an impressive, Rear-Naked Choke win against Dyson Roberts that wowed fans. (Watch Petley vs. Roberts here: http://www.channel5.com/shows/bamma-10-world-title-fight-highlights/episodes/bamma-10-world-title-fight-highlights)

Richie Downes (7-1-0-2) has remained undefeated since his 2007 debut, when he lost against the to-be BAMMA Lightweight Champ, Rob Sinclair. Coming off 7 consecutive wins, the Kaobon fighter has cut down opponents with both submissions and strikes.

Downes said: “I am looking forward to fighting on BAMMA 11; it’s a great event to showcase my skills. I don’t know a great deal about Jeremy, except that he is a tough opponent with a ground game that needs to be respected. I plan on taking this opportunity though and putting on a show for all the fans in attendance. Watch this space!”

Welterweight Fight: Bilton vs. Edwards

Sunderland’s Jonny Bilton, has a professional MMA record of 2-1-0 plus a string of victories at Semi-Pro that saw him win the Total Combat Semi-Pro European title. Both of Bilton’s professional wins have come in the first round and none of his fights have made it past the second, with the bulk of them via submission.

Bilton said: “I’m really excited about fighting on BAMMA and the step up, and I’m going to rise to the occasion. I’ll make sure I win wherever the fight goes. If he wants to stand and bang, I’ll stand and bang; and if he wants to go to the ground, I’ll sort him. Expect fireworks from this fight as I’m going to give it my all. I’m coming back and I’m going to give it 100%.”

20 year old Birmingham fighter, Leon ‘Rocky Edwards,’ also comes with a Professional MMA record of 2-1-0, having been undefeated at Amateur and Semi-Pro over 7 fights. The one loss on his record comes from a DQ.

Leon Edwards said: “I can’t wait to fight on the BAMMA card. There’s no way I’m losing this fight in my home town. If the fight’s standing or on the ground, I don’t care – My opponent’s in trouble and I’m winning this fight.”

BAMMA’s Head of Talent Relations, Jude Samuel, said:

“A lot has been talked about hot prospect Richie Downes, who is on a 7 fight winning streak. He takes on Jeremy Petley who has come off a win in what many considered the fight of the night on BAMMA 10, against Dyson Roberts. This will be a fast paced technical battle if both of their last performances are anything to go by.

“Sunderland’s Jonny Bilton vs. Birmingham’s Leon Edwards is a fight that promises to bring a charged and volatile mixture of youth and hunger. This is a fight during which fans should avoid blinking.”
