UFC on ESPN 2 is in the books, as the ESPN-televised event went down last night (Sat., March 30, 2019) inside Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pa.In the main event of the evening, Justin Gaethje knocked out Edson Barboza with a looping right hand that put him to sleep long before he hit the canvas (see it again here). In the co-main event, Jack Hermansson pulled off a lightning-quick win over David Branch, submitting the former World Series of Fighting (WSOF) champ-champ in less than one minute (watch it).

Now, it’s time to see how all of the combatants made out in the Reebok sponsorship payout department.

For his part in spearheading the event, Gaethje managed to only collect a sum of $4,000, while Barboza earned an event high $20,000. Longtime veteran Ross Pearson also collected a $20,000 check from the sports apparel giant.

But that’s not all, take a look at the rest of the Reebok payouts courtesy of MMA Junkie:

According to the payout structure (see it), the more fights a fighter has accumulated — combined with UFC and the now-defunct World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) and Strikeforce promotions — the more coin he or she gets to fill his or her combat sports piggy bank.

And the less fights a fighter has under the Endeavor umbrella … well, the less he or she gets. According to the report, fighters will also receive royalty and payments up to 20 to 30 percent of any UFC-related merchandise sold that bears his or her likeness.
