Edson Barboza may have lost to Justin Gaethje last night (Sat., March 30, 2019) in the main event of UFC on ESPN 2 in Philadelphia, PA., but Junior is still winning at this thing we call life.

Shortly after losing to “The Highlight” via first round knockout inside the Wells Fargo Center (see it), the heavy-handed striker made it back home to Florida just in time to welcome the newest addition to his family, his baby girl Victoria. The proud father took to Instagram to share the news.

Interestingly enough, Victoria means “victory” in the Portuguese language. And it’s huge one for Edson, as welcoming his daughter to this world surely dwarfs his most recent setback inside the Octagon.

Edson and Justin went toe-to-toe for 2.5 minutes in a 155-pound fight that lived up to expectations in the little time it lasted before Gaethje clipped the Brazilian bomber with a mean left hook that put him out for the count.

Now, Barboza will likely take some time off to enjoy his baby girl before he jumps back into the octagon in an attempt to get back in the win column. Any suggestions as to who he should face next?
