While yesterday was dominated by UFC on FOX 19, Bellator traveled outside of North America for the first time in the promotion’s history. Bellator 152 was staged in Torino, Italy, where Patricky Pitbull fought Kevin Souza in the main event, while UFC veteran Alessio Sakara battled Brian Rogers in the co-main. Here are the results and highlights of all of the MMA bouts, which aired on tape-delay on Spike TV last night. Bellator Kickboxing will premiere on a one-week delay following Koreshkov vs. Henderson on April 22nd.
Patricky Pitbull def. Kevin Souza by unanimous decision (30-27 x3)
Pitbull took care of Souza, who accepted the fight on short notice in place of the injured Derek Campos. In this battle between two knockout specialists, the contest was hardly scintillating. Souza in particular was deeply disappointing and not very effective at all. Patricky was able to take Souza down in every round and really separated himself from the UFC veteran in the 3rd. Souza’s best offense was through singular power shots, whereas Pitbull opened things up in the 3rd with combinations. The crowd wasn’t too pleased with the quality of the fight, and it’s hard to disagree with them. Patricky got another win needed to boost his hopes for a lightweight title shot, while Souza’s first fight after his surprise UFC release ends in his 2nd straight loss.
Alessio Sakara def. Brian Rogers via TKO (punches) at 2:29 of round 2
“Legionarius” made his Bellator debut in front of his fellow Italians and came away with the victory. Midway through round 2, he hurt Rogers with a right hand that sent him staggering, then finished the job with another right hand to prompt the referee’s stoppage.
Knockout Power? Yep, @SakaraLegio‘s still got it #Bellator152https://t.co/fUX0IqMRu0

Rogers is now 2-5 in his last 7, while Sakara has won two straight after a run of 0-4, 1 NC from 2011-2014.
A.J. McKee def. Danilo Belluardo via TKO (punches) at 2:44 of round 1
Featherweight prospect A.J. McKee, the son of Antonio McKee, improved to 4-0 by starching local fighter Danilo Belluardo in round 1. The precision of the finishing strikes on the ground is very impressive, and this showcase fight for McKee ended with the expected outcome.
That finish tho. @AJMcKeeJr remains undefeated with this flurry! #Bellator152https://t.co/ip9y8rW8gP

Anastasia Yankova def. Anjela Pink via submission (armbar) at 1:35 of round 1
Women’s flyweight prospect Yankova just dominated Pink from the opening seconds. The undefeated Russian dragged Pink to the mat, had her in full mount, beat Pink up with ground-and-pound before isolating the right arm and getting the belly down armbar. Pink tapped instantly, and Yankova is now 3-0, with all of her victories coming by submission.
Daniele Scatizzi def. Daniele Miceli via TKO (punches) at 3:20 of round 1
In an all-Italian main card opener, Scatizzi took Miceli down early, had him in full mount, then transitioned to back mount, and spent at least a minute just hitting Miceli in the face before Big John McCarthy stopped the fight. Miceli had nothing to offer and there’s really nothing to expand on here.
