Lorenz Larkin vs. Fernando Gonzalez
Round 1 – Slow start. Larkin concentrating on kicking early. He lands effectivel to the body, but Gonzalez is quick to blow off anything damaging. Not too much going on. Gonzalez with left. Larkin unloading with more kicks. They’re low but effective. Larkin working his jab. 10-9 Larkin.
Round 2 – They trade head kicks. Gonzalez can’t find a home for his left. He connects that time though, and has a body kick blocked. Gonzalez pressuring but Larkin is picking his shots well. Gonzalez lands. Gonzalez kick blocked. Larkin lands a hard left as Gonzalez throws a body kick. Gonzalez goes back to the body. Larkin with a body kick. 10-9 Larkin.
Round 3 – Larkin with a hard low leg kick. Gonzalez tries to pressure. They trade low kicks. Larkin still chopping at the legs. Not a lot happening. Larkin looking to jab. Gonzalez with a nice left over the top. Body kick from Gonzalez. They both land glancing shots. More jabs from Larkin. Body kick from Gonzalez again. Lorenz pressures with some big shots and Gonzalez is covering up. He fires back, but it’s Larkin’s round. 10-9 and 30-27.

Round 1 – Low leg kicks from both men. Both are jabbing too. Double jab from Ambrose. A lady in the crowd is making weird noises. They trade shots in the pocket. Low leg kick from Awad, and he lands two rights. Nice combo from Awad. Ambrose with a nice lead left. Ambrose with a left and a leg kick. Ambrose gets a brief takedown. Awad looking for his own late but can’t get it. 10-9 Awad.
Round 2 – Awad with a Diaz-style slap. Ambrose acknowledges it. Awad changes stances and lands a nice leg kick. Awad ties him up, takes his back, and tries to slam Ambrose tot he mat. They stall out though. They trade clinch positions for a while. Awad scrambles to Ambrose’s back, then ends up on the bottom with both hooks. Body triangle. That was slick. Ambrose manages to anticipate the next move and gets up though. Awad maintains the pressure, and is bodying Ambrose. Nonetheless, Ambrose looks for front headlock. Ambrose ends the round on top but it’s not enough for me. 10-9 Awad.
Round 3- Ambrose immediately takes top position. That doesn’t last long but he perseveres and takes Awad’s back in a kneeling position. Awad is up, then gets his own takedown and ends up on top. He passes to side, then mount immediately. Ambrose gives up his back. Awad hunts for a choke. Body triangle. Ambrose is game, but is getting dominated. He falls back for a kimura but there’s nothing there. Awad reverses. 10-9 and 30-27 Awad.
Saad Awad defeated JJ Ambrose via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
Kendall Grove vs. A.J. Matthews
Round 1 – Grove looks like a red bumblebee. Matthews walks him down and lands a nice shot. Grove with a right that drops Matthews, or at least knocks him off balance. Matthews is up immediately and lands a jab. Matthews with some pressure. Nice left and outside leg kick from Matthews. Body work too. Grove with a counter right. Grove with a leg kick. Nice right and knee from Grove. Matthews goes back to the body. Grove with a nice combo inside. 10-9 Grove.
Round 2 – Matthews is walking Grove down. Nice leg kicks mixed in with some left hooks. Grove escapes with some good head movement. Grove with a leg kick and they trade in the pocket. Grove with a leg kick and a jab, but they’re both missing a lot. Matthews wades into brawling range a couple of times and takes some damage. Left hook from Matthews, and a hard leg kick. Nice combo, but a nice counter from Grove. 10-9 Matthews.
Round 3 – Grove shows some urgency for a few seconds, but is getting walked down again quickly. More body work from Matthews. Grove with a strafing jab. They’re trading now, at least for a few seconds. Grove with a double jab. Matthews lands a couple of hard shots. He slips on a head kick. Grove goes back to leg kicks. Matthews kicks low. This is anyon’s fight. MatthewsMa with a nice combo. Grove jabbing. They clinch briefly. Matthews lands to the body. They both miss a bunch. Extremely tough call, but I’ll go 29-28 Matthews.
AJ Matthews defeated Kendall Grove via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 30-27)
Round 1 – Smith is walking Kozola down early but not putting anything together. Finally Smith decides to press forward and lands a shot. He fakes an uppercut but eats a huge right, and he’s stunned! He goes to his back and gets pounded out just like that. Very impressive.
