Take a look at the current card for Bellator’s next tentpole event this weekend in NYC.
Bellator MMA will put on one of their biggest events of 2019 in the legendary Madison Square Garden arena in New York City this weekend. Bellator 222 will feature two title fights, a grudge match between legends of the sport, and a whole lot of other action.
The headliner will see Bellator welterweight champion Rory MacDonald put his belt on the line against challenger Neiman Gracie. The bout will also serve as the second semi-final in the Bellator Welterweight Grand Prix. The winner of this bout will take the title into the finals against Douglas Lima.
The co-main event was actually scheduled to be on top originally. Former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida will look for his second straight win in Bellator when he faces The American Gangster himself, Chael Sonnen.
Also on the card is a rematch between Bellator bantamweight champion Darrion Caldwell and RIZIN bantamweight champ Kyoji Horiguchi. Horiguchi took the first fight via submission on New Years Eve, and will look to take Caldwell’s belt home with him this time around.
Here’s a look at the full card, which goes down June 14th in MSG and will air exclusively on DAZN.
