Check out the purses of Bellator 263.
With Bellator 263 taking place in California, we got a glimpse of their fighter purses.
New featherweight champion A.J. McKee was assured of $150,000 in base money, but the goal was to beat Patricio ‘Pitbull’ Freire and get that lucrative $1 million check for winning the featherweight grand prix. Patricio’s official purse was $250,000 but no win bonus for him after getting choked out inside of two minutes in the main event.
Those were the only two fighters with six-figure purses on the entire card. Emmanuel Sanchez would’ve had $122,000 had he beaten Mads Burnell, but his decision loss limited him to just the $61,000. The highest non-main event earner was Georgi Karakhanyan, who received a $70,000 purse but no contracted win bonus for his finish of Kiefer Crosbie.
Here are the official fight purses courtesy of the California State Athletic Commission. As usual, we must note that this does not include sponsorship income, discretionary bonuses, side letter agreements, etc.
