Bellator 42 Ratings Improve From Last Event

The event, which took place at the Lucky Star Casino in Concho, Oklahoma, earned an average audience of 199,000 viewers, which was a 51% increase in viewership when compared to last weeks Bellator 41 ratings of 132,000 viewers. Even the immediate replay for Bellator 42 did significantly better than the ratings for Bellator 41, bringing in 180,000 viewers.

MMAjunkie.com reported last weekends viewer numbers, and puts Bellator 42 in fourth place for ratings out of eight shows for the current fourth season for Bellator FC.

Last weekends event featured the light heavyweight semifinal bouts with Richard Hale and Christian M’Pumbu earning wins over D.J. Linderman and Tim Carpenter respectively. Both men will meet at Bellator 45 on May 21 to see who will be crowned Bellator’s first ever LHW champion.

Also fighting on the live MTV2 broadcast were Bellator newcomers Ronnie Mann vs. Josh Arocho, with Mann improving to 19-2-1 with a unanimous decision win. Also featured was a bantamweight bout between Luiz Alberto Nogueira vs. Jerod Spoon, Nogueira would also earn a unanimous decision win.
