Former WEC lightweight Chris ‘The Polish Hammer’ Horodecki (18-3-1) finally has an opponent for the upcoming Bellator 64 event set for Caesar’s Windsor in Canada.

Horodecki will face Mike ‘The Marine’ Richman (11-1) at the April show making his debut for the Chicago based promotion.

News of the matchup was announced by Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney via Twitter (@bjornrebney) on Friday evening.

Bellator 64 is the fifth event scheduled for the promotions sixth season and should contain a high number of Canadian fighters. The event is set for April 6, 2012 at Caesar’s Windsor in Windsor, Ontario and is highlighted by a welterweight title bout between champ Ben Askren versus season five tourny winner, Douglas Lima.

Horodecki is 1-0-1 in the Bellator cage having fought Mike Corey to a majority draw last November at Bellator 57. ‘The Polish Experiment’ debuted with Bellator last July, earning a unanimous decision over Chris Saunders. The Canadian went 2-2 in the WEC cage, losing to Donald Cerrone by submission at WEC 53 before receiving his pink slip.

Richman has proven himself to be a tough finisher, having stopped ten of his eleven opponents by submission or by (T)KO. Nine of which have all come in the first round. ‘The Marine’ had his last fight in November, earning his first ever decision win by defeating Morgan Sickinger at a SEG Downtown Showdown event.
