Brazilian featherweight Alexandre ‘Popo’ Bezerra (11-1) is the latest fighter named to Bellator Fighting Championships upcoming season six featherweight tournament.

Officials with the promotion confirmed his participation with MMAjunkie.com on Wednesday.

Season Six is expected to begin in March on MTV2.

Other fighters identified as participating in the tournament are Wagnney Fabiano, Ronnie Mann, Marlon Sandro and Daniel Straus.

Bezerra has fought four times in a Bellator cage earning victories in all bouts, competing in cathcweight, lightweight, and featherweight matchups. This will be his first tournament in Bellator and enters on a seven fight win streak.

‘Popo’ has finished four fights by (T)KO, seven by submission, and one by decision. He is listed as a 2nd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
