I know the combat sports purists are rolling their collective eyes, but I just can’t get enough of Bellator MMA these days, which somehow manages to keep outdoing itself for all the wrong reasons.
Not long after we had Jake Hager squashing some local factory worker at Bellator 221, flyweight sensation Valerie Loureda, a 4th dan taekwando black belt and former member of the U.S. Olympic team, will fight Hooters waitress Larkyn Dasch at Bellator 222.
“I have officially signed a contract with Bellator MMA for Bellator 222 and will be fighting at Madison Square Garden next Friday,” Dasch wrote on social media. “This was so last minute I actually signed the contract while I was at work at my side job at Taylor Hooters as a Hooters girl!!”
All jokes aside, Loureda is just 1-0 as a professional fighter and is not going to be competing against anyone in the Top 10 anytime soon. Dasch, meanwhile, will also be making her second pro appearance after several fights on the amateur circuit.
