Michael Page, the flashy British striker who is signed to the Bellator promotion, added to his perfect record on Friday, defeating Egyptian Ramdan Mohamed by rear naked choke submission.

The finish came at 3:48 of the first round, making it the longest fight of his career. It marked the second tapout victory on his fight ledger.

Competing at Super Fight League 15 in Mumbai, India, Page employed his usual unique standup style, showing off his superior footwork and weaving into and out of striking range with his hands low. Within a few minutes, he had Mohamed bloodied from his lengthy jab and powerful right cross, but soon changed tracks, taking the fight to the ground off a takedown from a clinch in which he had double underhooks. From there, he quickly advanced into full mount, and after Mohamed gave his back upon tasting Page’s power, he sunk in the fight-closing choke.

“I was in freestyle kickboxing. which is like point scoring so you’re in and out all the time. That’s been my style for 20 years so it’s not something I’m planning on changing,” the 26-year-old said afterward. “I’ll never change. This is me. I’m going to be winning fights like this all the time.”

Page, who is now 5-0 overall, fought just three weeks ago, making his Bellator debut with a 10-second knockout of Ryan Sanders. While he competed in Bellator as a welterweight, his fight with Mohamed took place at 185 pounds.

None of his five fights have yet to go past the four-minute mark. His previous longest fight had lasted just 2:15.
