Welterweights Ben Saunders and Alan Jouban will fight at UFC on FOX 28 in February.
The UFC’s return to Orlando, Florida will include a welterweight fight between a pair of fan favorites. Following a report from the Orlando Sentinel, UFC officials confirmed that Ben Saunders will take on Alan Jouban on February 24th at the Amway Center.
Saunders (21-8-2) is looking to get back in the win column after being dominated and knocked out by Peter Sobotta at UFC Stockholm in May. “Killa B” had previously beaten Court McGee by unanimous decision in January, in what was his return to the Octagon after submitting Jacob Volkmann on a regional show in September of last year.
Jouban (15-6) is currently on a two-fight losing skid, having just suffered a KO defeat vs. Niko Price at UFC Mexico City in August. He was also dropped and then choked out by Gunnar Nelson in March. The 36-year-old Jouban’s best win to date is a unanimous decision over Mike Perry at last December’s UFC on FOX 22 in Sacramento, California.
UFC on FOX 28 does not have a main event, but a strawweight bout between Jessica Andrade and Karolina Kowalkiewicz is slated for this card.
