Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight titleholder, Michael Bisping, is not an Italian from Brooklyn, so he doesn’t quite understand why ex-boxing champion, Paulie Malignaggi, is dressed like a villain from the Dick Tracy movie.
Sure, Dick Tracy takes place in a metropolitan city in the Midwestern/Great Lakes region of the United States, but we can’t hold that against “The Count,” a bratty Englishman who probably never read the classic comic strip.
One thing I think we can all agree on, is how goofy Malignaggi looked at Monday’s press conference in New York City, staged in advance of his bare knuckle boxing fight against former UFC featherweight Artem Lobov.
Who nearly took a loogie to the eye during their second face off.
“Don’t get me started on spitting on him,” Bisping said on his official podcast (via MMA News). “Any motherfucker that shows up wearing a hat like that deserves to die. It’s as simple as that. I’m sorry. You look like an absolute tit. He looks like a villain out of the Dick Tracy movie. You know what I mean? He might as well have had a pinstripe suit on, that big stupid gangsta hat. Oh my god, it did not look good.”
Have a look:
He’s not wrong.
“I’m sorry, maybe I don’t get it,” Bisping said. “Maybe I’m not Italian from Brooklyn, or whatever the fuck you say Paulie. Maybe that’s their thing, but I’m telling you, you look like a twat. And any man that runs around, I don’t care if you’re at the beach, I don’t care if you’re, whatever past time you are taking part in. If you go out wearing a fedora, you are a cock. Plain and simple.”
In unrelated news, I own a fedora, but I’m a cock regardless of whether or not I’m wearing it, so I see no reason to stop. Besides, I don’t see anyone criticizing Indiana Jones for his felt masterpiece, so I intend to keep on keepin’ on.
Malignaggi, who is only beefing with Lobov because of their Conor McGregor connection, will (hopefully) settle this feud once and for all in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) main event on June 22 in Tampa, Florida.
Though expect to hear more of this with a victory in “The Sunshine State.”
