Jan Blachowicz feels he is due for a title shot after his first-round knockout win over Corey Anderson at UFC Rio Rancho.
Heading into UFC Rio Rancho, Jan Blachowicz was looking to avenge his loss to Corey Anderson. The number six-ranked light heavyweight contender did so successfully with a first-round knockout that also earned him a Performance of the Night bonus.
Watching among the New Mexico crowd was 205-pound king Jon Jones, whom Blachowicz immediately ran towards after his win.

In his post-fight Octagon interview with former champion Daniel Cormier, Blachowicz made his intentions clear.
“They were wrong about me. I proved that I’m one of the best in the world,” Blachowicz said on the mic. “I took the rematch, thank you Corey for the rematch. And I proved that I’m the next contender for the title shot. Let’s talk about my next opponent, Jon Jones.
“You promised me that in the show, when I met you,” he said, directing his attention to Jones. “Let’s do this. Tell me when, give me the place and time.”
While Jones does have the option to face Blachowicz next, a rematch against Dominick Reyes is also on the table. The champ himself says he is open to running it back after his controversial unanimous decision win at UFC 247.
