Jan Blachowicz vs. Glover Teixeira will now headline UFC 267 on Oct. 30.
Jan Blachowicz vs. Glover Teixeira has been pushed back to October 30 after both men were originally slated to headline UFC 266 on September 25.
The light heavyweight title bout will now headline UFC 267 on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Brazilian MMA outlet AG Fight confirmed the news on Sunday.
Blachowicz heads into the matchup riding a five-fight win streak with standout victories against Israel Adesanya, Dominick Reyes and Luke Rockhold. The Pole won the vacant light heavyweight title with a second-round knockout of Reyes at UFC 253 and then solidified his position in the top-ten pound-for-pound rankings with a shutout decision victory over Adesanya at UFC 259.
Teixeira, 41, hasn’t lost in the cage since 2018 and has been quietly building up his resume and working his way back to title contention ever since. The Brazilian MMA veteran has won five consecutive fights against Karl Roberson, Ion Cutelaba, Nikita Krylov, Anthony Smith, and Thiago Santos.
UFC 267 takes place on Oct. 30th in Abu Dhabi. No further matchups have been announced.
