It’s still $39.99 to watch Chuck Liddell vs. Tito Ortiz 3 on pay-per-view.
There was a brief moment in time when FITE TV, one of the distributors for Saturday night’s card, was planning a “Black Friday” sale for the Chuck Liddell vs. Tito Ortiz 3 pay-per-view event, promoted by Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy MMA. The original PPV cost was $49.99, then it was slashed to $39.99, and the purpose of the Black Friday promotional deal was to reduce the cost further to just $19.99 if you ordered within two hours after the ceremonial weigh-ins.
Unfortunately, there’s been a change of plans. The discount is no longer happening “due to contractual restrictions,” when asked about it on Twitter.
Unfortunately due to contractual restrictions, we are unable to offer the planned Black Friday discount. We apologize.

So there you have it. It’s not dropping below $39.99 from now until Saturday night. This will be the first time these two UFC legends and former light heavyweight champions have fought each other since 2006, when Liddell TKO’d Ortiz to defend his 205 lbs belt. That reportedly sold 1 million pay-per-view buys… I have a feeling the trilogy will not do the same numbers.
We’ll see if $40 is still good enough for people to buy the card, as the pay for Chuck and Tito is tied to how well the event performs financially.
Liddell vs. Ortiz 3 starts at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT.
