Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is bringing a heavyweight showdown of titanic proportions to the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., when Curtis Blaydes collides with Justin Willis at UFC on ESPN+ 6 on March 23, 2019.
That’s according to a report from Flo Combat.
Blaydes (10-2, 1 NC) is looking to rebound from his technical knockout loss to Francis Ngannou at UFC Beijing back in November. Losing to “The Predator” snapped a five-fight win streak for “Razor,” which included victories over Mark Hunt and Alistair Overeem.
Speaking of Hunt, Willis (8-1) is coming off a unanimous decision nod over the since-departed “Super Samoan” in their UFC Adelaide co-main event just last month. “Big Pretty” is now the winner of seven straight with four knockout finishes.
UFC Nashville is also expected to feature the striking showcase between Anthony Pettis and Stephen Thompson, after “Showtime” made the decision to bump up to welterweight. Expect additional fight announcements in the coming weeks.
