Dustin Stoltzfus scored the only knockout win at UFC Edmonton this past weekend (Sat., Nov. 2, 2024) when he brutally slept Marc-Andre Barriault in the first round from inside Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada (watch highlights).
Just a few hours after the fight, Joe Pyfer called out his former foe (Stoltzfus) for a rematch via social media.

“Let’s run that s—t back,” Pyfer wrote on his Instagram story. “He beat the same dude I did. I want my revenge fight, then Top 15.”
Stoltzfus and Pyfer collided in 2020 on season five of Contender Series, resulting in a brutal injury. Indeed, Stoltzfus went for a takedown in the first round, and when Pyfer went to plant with his arm, he dislocated his elbow.
After recovering the arm injury, Pyfer returned to the regional scene and scored a knockout win for another shot on Contender Series. And he ended up getting an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) contract (details here).
Basically, after every win this far in his UFC career, Pyfer has called for a rematch with Stolzfus because, “it’s personal for him.”
With Stoltzfus’ knockout at UFC Edmonton, the fight makes a lot more sense now. Pyfer is also coming off a nasty knockout of the aforementioned Barriault at UFC 303 (watch highlights).
Run it!
