Earlier on Saturday night (Sept. 7, 2024), Gilbert Burns and Sean Brady threw down for five full rounds in the main event of UFC Vegas 97 from UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. It wasn’t the most action-packed fight, but Brady was able to control Burns and land good distance strikes for most of the night.

Consequently, he picked up a unanimous decision nod.

In addition to the middleweight main event, UFC Vegas 97 produced a wide range of standout performances and impressive finishes. Check out some of them below and let us know which ones stood out the most:

  • Nathan Fletcher made a successful debut by strangling fellow Ultimate Fighter (TUF) product Zygimantas Ramaska in the second round.
  • Jaqueline Amorim pretty easily — but mildly controversially — scored an armbar submission over Vanessa Demopoulos.
  • Isaac Dulgarian easily overpowered Brendon Marotte as the largest favorite in UFC history to pick up a second-round arm triangle choke.
  • Cody Durden picked up a guillotine victory over Matt Schnell after accepting the fight on just four day’s notice.
  • Steve Garcia absolutely pummeled Kyle Nelson with nasty elbows to secure the first-round knockout win.

To sift through the action and see which fighters took home an extra $50,000, we take a closer look at the official UFC Vegas 97 post-fight bonus winners below:
