Even with all of the struggles Jon Jones has been experiencing as of late, the bookies don’t sound too shook when it comes to what many fans (and pundits) expect to be his next light heavyweight title defense.
Hello, Jan Blachowicz.
The power-punching Pole obliterated Corey Anderson in the UFC Rio Rancho main event last weekend on ESPN+, putting himself atop a very short list of 205-pound title contenders with a legitimate claim to the light heavyweight throne.
It helps that “Bones” has already eliminated the rest of the competition.
With that in mind, I’m sure it will come as no surprise to learn that Jones has opened as the -600 betting favorite, according to our fiscal friends at Best Fight Odds, leaving Blachowicz as the +400 underdog.
Nothing is official at this time, but the promotion is likely to make a decision on Jones vs. Blachowicz in the coming weeks if “Bones” is going to make his return this summer, as previously expected.
Which is bad news for the “People’s Champ.”
