What will Conor McGregor do following his retirement from mixed martial arts (MMA)?
I know when I retire, the answer will be “nothing,” but that’s also because I have “nothing” and would be content to hole up in some cabin in Jerkwater, USA, where I will become a hoarder, eat possum jerky, and collect dead cats.
McGregor, on the other hand, has plenty of irons in the fire. Perhaps burning the brightest is Proper No. 12, the Irish whiskey “Notorious” has been peddling in recent months (to great success). There’s a solid chance the booze business could make him a “billionaire.”
Assuming he doesn’t get arrested beforehand.
Here’s the current odds and betting lines on McGregor’s next move, courtesy of BetOnline:
Fight in WWE: 3/2
MMA Fight: 3/1
Boxer: 4/1
Arrested: 5/1
UFC Commentator: 10/1
Actor: 12/1
Open a Bar: 12/1
McGregor has been up for movie roles before, has an existing beef with some WWE wrestlers, has already been arrested twice, and even boxed professionally. Honestly, all of these sound like realistic possibilities and I might drop a finsky on “arrested” just for shits and giggles.
What’s your pick?
