UFC 257:McGregor vs. Poirier 2” takes place this weekend (Sat., Jan. 23, 2021) inside Etihad Arena on “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi. The show is available exclusively on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) at the usual start time for the main card of 10 p.m. ET, and is headlined by a rematch featuring Conor McGregor (22-4) and Dustin Poirier (26-6, 1 NC).

The co-main event of the evening features former Bellator MMA star and three-time Lightweight champion “Iron” Michael Chandler (21-5) making his promotional debut against Dan Hooker (20-9). Chandler is currently on a two-fight win streak, while Hooker just had his three-fight streak snapped by the aforementioned Poirier.

After spending nearly his entire professional mixed martial arts (MMA) career in Bellator from 2010-2020, who would know Chandler better than Bellator? As a result — even though he’s now UFC’s property — there’s no reason for his former employer to not put together a video package that shows Chandler was “Born & Bred” to be championship material.
