The undefeated Sean Brady will face the toughest test of his career this fall.
A very intriguing welterweight bout is on tap for November.
ESPN reported on Thursday that #13 ranked Sean Brady will take on #7 ranked Michael Chiesa at a UFC Fight Night card on November 20th.
Brady (14-0) was scheduled to fight Kevin Lee at last week’s UFC Vegas 35 but had to withdraw due to a foot infection. The Philadelphia native is coming off a highly impressive arm-triangle choke stoppage of Jake Matthews at UFC 259 in March. The former Cage Fury FC champion also holds UFC victories over Court McGee, Ismail Naurdiev, and Christian Aguilera.
Chiesa (18-5) moved up to welterweight in late 2018 after missing weight for his eventual submission loss to Anthony Pettis. He started brightly with a kimura finish of Carlos Condit, followed by decision wins over Diego Sanchez, Rafael dos Anjos, and a five-rounder versus Neil Magny. His winning ways ended at UFC 265 when Vicente Luque tapped him out with a D’arce choke, mere seconds after Chiesa was hunting for his own choke.
No main event has been linked to this November 20th card, which is expected to be in Las Vegas at the APEX facility.
