Scott Jorgensen wants his submission loss to Jussier Formiga overturned to a no-contest, but he needs to move to get it done.

Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA) director Cristiano Sampaio said that the commission won’t do anything if Jorgensen doesn’t officially ask for it.

“We didn’t receive any request from him or his team,” Sampaio told MMAFighting.com on Tuesday. “If the fighter does not make an official request, (CABMMA) won’t evaluate the case.”

Following his first-round loss to Formiga at UFC Fight Night 38 in Natal, Brazil, Jorgensen said he wants it overturned.

“He jumps in, clips me with a head butt, I drop, and then wake up in a rear-naked choke,” Jorgensen said after the flyweight bout. “It’s bulls–t, I’m pissed.”

“I don’t think it was intentional,” he continued. “Accidental or not, it dropped me. I’d love to see it turned to a no contest.”

Formiga, on the hand, disagrees with Jorgensen.

“I don’t think it was a head butt,” Formiga told the media after the win. “I moved forward and my head hit his chest and he went down. I took the opportunity and took his back. I wanted to go for a leglock, but I lost the position and went for the neck.”

The loss dropped Jorgensen to a three-fight skid, while Formiga earned his first submission win under the UFC banner.
