One more UFC veteran will be featured at the Titan FC 29 card.
Bristol Marunde, who competed under the UFC and Strikeforce banners in 2012 and 2013, is set to make his Titan FC debut against TUF 14 alum Micah Miller on Aug. 22 in Fayetteville, N.C. Titan FC COO Lex McMahon confirmed the news with MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani.
Marunde (13-9) enters the cage four months after winning the Super Brawl Sunday welterweight title with a submission over Ian Willians, winning for the first time after going 0-3 in Strikeforce and UFC with losses to Ronaldo Souza, Clint Hester and Viscardi Andrade.
Miller (19-6, 1 no-contest) also scored a submission victory in his last MMA bout, tapping Eddie Larrea in his King Of The Cage debut. “Maverick” went 3-2 inside the WEC cage between 2007 and 2008.
Titan FC 29 takes place at the at Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville and is headlined by a welterweight title fight between Ben Saunders and Matt Riddle. In the co-main event, Mike Ricci meets fellow UFC veteran George Sotiropoulos.
