Brother vs Brother part 2: Strictly business | UFC Betting Sites

Bloody Elbow spoke with World Series of Fighting’s Caros Fodor about his upcoming battle with his own superhero brother, Phoenix Jones, on July 30, 2016.

Two brothers competing on the same card is nothing new to MMA. Two brothers professionally fighting against each other in an MMA match is something that remains to be seen inside of a major MMA promotion. At the World Series of Fighting 32 on July 30, 2016, Caros Fodor will be squaring off against his younger brother Ben Fodor, more infamously known as Seattle’s superhero Phoenix Jones, at a catchweight bout of 162 pounds. Caros spoke with Bloody Elbow about taking a professional fight against his little brother, and also touched on Ben’s crime fighting alter ego, Phoenix Jones.

Caros emphatically responded when asked about whether or not he has ever gone on patrol with Phoenix Jones:

“No. Fuck no! Never. Not one time. I have zero to do with that thing… I think it’s pretty ridiculous.”

Caros Fodor explained why he opted to not collaborate with his brother about the bout:

“We’ve been talking about this fight happening forever. Ben wasn’t getting a fight. It was going on like 6 months that I hadn’t got one… but I could care less about Ben at the time because he already screwed me over with some personal shit. I could really care less about his feelings. It made no difference for me to talk to him at that point.”

Although claiming to be personally unhappy with Phoenix Jones, Caros insisted that this fight will be sans emotion:

“The fight has absolutely no emotion to me like what so ever. This is just me and him making money. The real problem in our relationship is personal family stuff on the side. That, I don’t know if we’re going to ever come back from that. It’ll make it worse or make it better. I don’t know. I think if I win we probably won’t be cool. He can’t take a loss like a man. He won’t get over it. Where as if he knocks me out, i’ll be over it. It could happen and I really don’t care. The fight isn’t a personal thing for me. Personally our relationship is screwed up from family issues that had nothing to do with this fight. It’s just that the timing is good to have this fight now because I’m pissed.”

Caros expressed his reservations about potentially tapping out to his little brother:

“If he had me yea. I mean, maybe not to a choke. If he was going to blow out my ACL and like stall my career for six months, I’d probably tap. If he has me in a choke I really doubt I would; or maybe like a Kimora, like a tendon popping in the shoulder I could probably take… Tapping to him would be devastating to me emotionally ha ha. I don’t think I could do that.”
