Surging Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 185-pound prospect Kevin Holland will be tested by longtime veteran Derek Brunson in the upcoming UFC on ESPN 21 main event, scheduled for Sat., March 20, inside APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.
And while Holland opened as the betting underdog against the No. 7-ranked middleweight, enough money has come in since last December’s fight announcement to flip those odds in favor of “Trailblazer,” who is currently the -160 favorite at 5 Dimes.
Brunson stands as the +140 underdog.
Holland (21-5) made a name for himself on Season 2 of Dana White’s “Contender Series” back in summer 2018, but his career didn’t take off until two years later. “Trailblazer” has won five straight, with four of those victories coming by way of knockout.
Brunson (21-7) is looking to reestablish himself as a legitimate contender for the 185-pound throne. The 36 year-old Strikeforce import bounced back from a crushing defeat to Israel Adesanya to capture three in a row, including his recent spoiler over Edmen Shahbazyan.
