Bruce Buffer has something to say about Nate Diaz’s constant grumblings about the UFC.
After his fight against Conor McGregor at UFC 196 in March 2016, Nate Diaz earned the biggest payout of his career at the time with a disclosed amount of $500,000. That amount quadrupled in their rematch at UFC 202 five months later, where he earned $2 million.
Yet, despite these massive paydays, Diaz remains to have major grievances towards the UFC. But according to “the veteran voice of the Octagon” Bruce Buffer, the younger Diaz brother is not entitled to such complaints.
“Nate, I heard you made seven or more million dollars in your last fight,” Buffer said in a recent run-in with TMZ Sports. “I don’t want to hear you complaining about being under promoted by the UFC. You should be thanking the UFC and bowing to Dana White every time you see him. [Endeavor co-CEOs] Ari Emanuel, Patrick Whitesell.”
“You got seven or more million dollars’ gross before taxes, maybe much more. Which I love knowing that you have, Nate. Please, I don’t want to hear any more complaints.”
Although he says he is “non-committal” about it, Diaz is currently booked to fight Dustin Poirier at UFC 230 on November 3rd at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
