Undefeated middleweight Shara Magomedov will fight Armen Petrosyan as part of the upcoming UFC 308 pay-per-view (PPV) event, recently made official for Sat., Oct. 26, 2024 at Etihad Arena on “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

As expected.

This marks the third fight for the 14-0 “Bullet” since making his return last July. The 30 year-old Russian, who may or may not be able to compete on stateside soil (because of this condition), was last seen capturing a unanimous decision victory over Michal Oleksiejczuk at UFC on ABC 7 just last month, also in Abu Dhabi.

As for the 33 year-old Petrosyan (9-3), his Magomedov fight will serve as an opportunity to rebound from his submission loss to Rodolfo Vieira at UFC Vegas 86 back in February. The Armenian “Superman” has only competed five times since signing with UFC back in late 2021, sporting a record of 3-2 inside the Octagon.

So much for free agency.

Also getting booked for the UFC 308 lineup (in preliminary card action) is the lightweight showdown pitting Myktybek Orolbai against Mateusz R?becki. In addition, the rough-and-tumble Ibo Aslan collides with light heavyweight bruiser Raffael Cerqueira.

UFC 308 will be headlined by the featherweight main event pitting newly-crowned champion Ilia Topuria in his first 145-pound title defense against former division titleholder Max Holloway. Elsewhere on the card, Khamzat Chimaev will try (again) to return against ex-middleweight kingpin Robert Whittaker after previously bailing on the UFC Saudi Arabia fight card back in June.

Expect more UFC 308 fight card announcements in the coming days.
