Gilbert Burns has told Nate Diaz to put his money where his mouth is.
Gilbert Burns was expected to challenge Kamaru Usman for the welterweight title at UFC 256 on Dec. 12 but ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ was forced to pull out of the bout due to injury.
That means Burns is currently without an opponent and the Brazilian is getting tired of sitting on the sidelines.
Enter Nate Diaz.
Burns recently called out Diaz for a $400,000 ‘winner takes all’ grappling match following the Californian’s diss on social media last month.
So as my title fight is not scheduled yet, Let’s grapple! Let’s see who is the real gangster @NateDiaz209 so I put $200,000 you put $200,000 winner takes all at @ChaelSonnen @UFCFightPass what you say? pic.twitter.com/yaUFxUO6Ep

Burns and Diaz are both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belts but ‘Durinho’ has more credentials to his name, having won several world titles and gold medals throughout his grappling career. Diaz, however, has more submission wins on his resume and is one of only two men to submit Conor McGregor in the UFC.
Diaz hasn’t fought since his TKO stoppage loss to Jorge Masvidal last year but the Stockton slugger could be open to a grappling match with $400k’s worth of prize money on the line — so watch this space.
